To go fast, it takes practice – a lot of it. So off we went to Adam’s Motorsports Park, Inland Empire, CA, everyday to churn laps. Lanie took to it like a duck to water. She was very quick out of the gate.

 

It didn’t take long before she met Al Ramirez. The chemistry was immediate. He agreed to coach her, just in time for her first competitive race. We registered her for the 2013 Comer 80 Cadet Championship at Adams starting in January 2013.

 

Al would be Lanie’s coach for the next 13 years, instilling in her the discipline, determination and dedication to be a winner.

 

He continues today, in cars.
