After years of going to Glamis and Ocotillo Wells in the sand rail – on the dunes, throttle open, I would hear Lanie giggling excitedly into her headset as she screamed “Faster Daddy, faster!” I knew immediately that she had racing in her blood. I had to feed that rush.

 

So, at the age of 7, I did just that. I took her to the K1 indoor karting facility in Riverside, CA. Lanie loved it. She was a natural.

 

I had already purchased the cadet kart prior to taking Lanie to K1. When done, I asked her if she wanted to race karts?

 

We are now a racing family.
